This is a cross-eyed stereo photo. For instructions on getting the 3D effect, please visit:

I am forever, in the back in the back of your mind.
The moment you say "hello" to me,
To the second we drift apart.
You will forever wonder,...
What I am doing with my life.

Beautiful shot! only suggestion would be to switch the photos around so that you wont have to look at it with a stereoscope.

Hmm. Good point. I freeview it (crosseyed) fine, but I may have my brain trained to be used to backwards, from viewing vintage cards without the viewer. Anyone else care to share their experience?

You can still free view it just fine, but the way the deepth is registering it looks like she is the farthest thing away and the background is closer than her. Just switch the pictures and take a look, you'll understand what Im talking about. lol I switched them in photoshop on my computer, makes your great stereograph even better!

Thanks! I've enjoyed them since I was a kid (with my dad's vintage handheld viewer and postcards), and have finally started playing with making them myself.

I'm midway through making a mount to hold the camera in the two positions on a tripod, but for the moment I am just shooting freehand. I recommend setting everything to manual so that you get the same exposure and the same focus on both shots. The trickiest thing freehand has been avoiding a rotation or vertical translation between the shots. One or both of those crept into this shot, but not enough to keep the wonderful human brain from working it's 3D perceptive magic.
